Hall of Fame

The NWRCHA Hall of Fame recognizes exceptional horsemen and horses.

The Northwest Reined Cow Horse Association Hall of Fame was designed to recognize individuals who have been exceptional in their accomplishments and in their contribution to the sport of reined cow horse in the Pacific Northwest.

The selection procedure for inducting people or horses into the NWRCHA Hall of Fame is based on criteria such as how long the individual has been involved in the organization, the individual’s show record and how long the individual has influenced NWRCHA. This award is meant to recognize the truly exceptional members of our association.

In 2008, we placed Bonnie Christiansen and the Christiansen family’s great cow horse Ebony Power as our first horse and rider inductees.

Following in 2009, the fabulous and unstoppable cow horse Boots Valentine was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Having dominated world and regional reining and cow horse events, Boots Valentine was owned by NWRCHA member Joy Soriano-Wolf.

Several years were missed, but in 2012, two influential horsemen were inducted into the NWRCHA Hall of Fame: Bruce Gilchrist and Jerry McCann.
